Social Program

All registrants are cordially invited to participate in the social activities of the Congress. The Welcome Reception is included in the registration fee for Full and Student Registrations. If you require additional tickets please indicate when completing your registration. Welcome Reception and registration will be held on Monday evening at the Hilton Conference Centre at 17h. It is strongly encouraged to register here to avoid overcrowding on Tuesday morning.

Excursion

On Friday an all day excursion is planned to the area of Cabo Delgado and Zambezi leaving Maputo at 8:30 and coming back at 20:30.

Due to the large number of assistants to the Congress, visits during the morning will be different and five choices will be offered. Visit to the Natural Park of Gueumbeul, lunch and afternoon activities will be common. People coming to the excursion must choose among five options on Tuesday noon at the Registration desk.

After these activities, all participants will go to the Natural Park of the Gueumbeul, a protected area of swamps and jungle, to enjoy a typical Mozambicuan lunch. During the afternoon, a visit is scheduled to the tourist village of Roses. Participants will have free time for shopping, visit the village or just relax in the terraces.

Ponta do Ouro, Malugane: The tranquil, unspoilt beauty of the brilliant blue sea, golden beaches and lush coastal vegetation set the scene for a truly memorable day. Aquatic sports, breakfast under palm trees.
The Bazaruto Archipelago: Underwater park. Breakfast and drinks. Perfect opportunity for scuba diving!
Marromeu Museum: Mozambiquan art and sculpture.
Xai-Xai: Colonial-styly breakfast and visit to the Elephant Reservation.
Ilha de Moçambique: A World Heritage site. Beautiful coral island located in the north of Mozambique on the Indian Ocean.
